Disciples who DISCOVER, DEVELOP, and are DEPLOYed

Yvonne Nash is the Pastor of Outreach & Discipleship at Christ’s Community Church in Glendale, AZ. Yvonne writes:

We have always had a focus on making disciples in the church using different programs and studies like Experiencing God and Discipleship Essentials. Our people have been very devoted to their walk … but we weren’t seeing multiplication.

In 2019, initial steps were taken to move our culture from being DEVOTED to Jesus to being fully engaged DISCIPLES of Jesus – Being disciples who make disciples. In 2019, our 7 person staff joined a Coaching Huddle led by Jeff Allen from the Thrive Coaching Network. We began to introduce Coaching Huddles to our congregation in March of 2020 and started leading our own Huddles. We started with 7 and in 3 coaching generations, our equipping of leaders of leaders has grown to 96!

This was the beginning of the Family Life Track at Christ’s Community Church – a pathway to help Disciples grow as they DISCOVER, are DEVELOPed, and then DEPLOYed to look like Jesus and do the things that Jesus does in practical ways in everyday life.
