From Dissatisfied to Leader of Leaders Multiplication

Gary Westra is the Lead Pastor of New Life Community Church in Wendell, ID. Gary writes:

A few years ago, I joined a coaching huddle because I was struggling with a holy dissatisfaction on how we were making disciples in the local church. I was frustrated that a system for discipleship seemed to be lacking and that we were not seeing the core practices of Jesus being integrated into the lives of the people of faith.

I needed some new tools and this coaching group led by Jeff Allen from the Thrive Coaching Network helped equip me to build a disciple-making culture in our context.

Fast-Forward to today – Gary is celebrating 12 leaders who are being equipped by the elders with his guidance on the side. Wait, there’s more because … another group of disciple-making leaders is already scheduled for the fall.

Gary celebrates that Disciple-making leader development is happening at New Life Community Church! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Take the disciple Self-assessment

The disciple self-assessment tool has been designed to help you identify where you are on your journey as a disciple of Jesus Christ by providing 30 questions related to your Character (being like Jesus) and your Competency (doing the things that Jesus did).
